STONEMASON MACHINERY SM-4020

5-AXIS WATERJET CUTTING MACHINE

StoneMason Machinery is dedicated to delivering top-tier waterjet machines customized specifically for stone masons. The SM4020 series has undergone thorough engineering to excel in demanding environments, particularly when processing Porcelain/Engineered Stone/Nature stone. It boasts a 5-axis cutting head with versatile angles of A-axis ±75° and C-axis rotation of 360°, making it well-suited for precision cutting, chamfering, mitering, hole drilling, and sink cutting without chipping.

Reasons why

monobloc structure

The monobloc design provides outstanding durability during challenging processing tasks and impressive resistance to corrosion over time. This structure is specifically crafted for convenient shipment in a pre-assembled state.

Annealing & grit blast treatment

Annealing & grit blast treatment makes a better foundation for cutting process

Integral tilting working table

Integrated into the monobloc structure, the tilting table facilitates a 0-90° angle rotation, ensuring effortless and secure op erations for loading and unloading slabs.

All key components are precision-made using in-house laser-casting production

All components are produced in-house using our own laser-casting machine. We refrain from outsourcing production to maintain control over the quality of each part, ensuring that every component seamlessly supports the operation of the machine.

This machine's integrity is evident in its monobloc stainless steel construction with heavy finish, integration of Siemens Beide motors, utilization of electronic components by Asea Brown Boveri (ABB), Italian water pumps, and inclusion of pneumatic control switches. It ensures stable operations, permits a gradual increase in waterjet pressure to prevent undesired chipping, especially when working with delicate materials, with errors carefully maintained within a range of ±0.01mm. The 37kw Main motor and 65,000 psi ultra-high-pressure intensifier unit with dual oil pump independent pump cooling oil circuit further guarantee stable machine operation. The SM-4020 waterjet machine includes a real-time measurement compass ring and a digital onboard camera designed for precise scanning of 2D layout plans. These features compensate for cut surface undulations in real-time, enabling continuous monitoring of material height unaffected by operational mist, ensuring the final product meets the required standards. The innovative high-pressure nut sealing chamber guarantees a 100% water leak-free seal.

The SM-4020 boasts an extremely user-friendly interface designed to facilitate interaction between the operator and the machine.

Stonemason Machinery proudly introduces our unique real-time height measurement technology, abandoning traditional laser-based methods in favor of a real-time measurement compass ring. This approach eliminates the impact of operational mist on height accuracy, expertly handling any processing challenges arising from uneven surfaces in stone materials. This feature compensates for real-time fluctuations in the cut surface, enabling uninterrupted monitoring of material height and ensuring the final product meets the necessary standards. The efficiency in slab cutting with this technology is enhanced by 25% compared to traditional height measurement methods.

The innovative abrasive valve design, constructed entirely from stainless steel with a pneumatic waterproof function, features a continuous airflow to the cutting head and the nozzle even when the machine is not in operation.
For fragile materials such as porcelain and glass, susceptible to cracking or breaking under high-pressure piercing, Stonemason Machinery's pneumatic abrasive valve proves effective. It efficiently draws abrasive into the cutting head just before the waterjet starts, ensuring immediate entrainment of abrasive particles in the jet stream. This process guarantees a seamless and effective start for each cut, particularly beneficial for delicate materials.

Stonemason Machinery's 4020 waterjet model distinguishes itself by featuring a cutting head made entirely of stainless steel, in contrast to the common use of aluminum in over 90% of waterjet heads.
Despite the higher cost, opting for stainless steel leverages its inherent advantages such as greater hardness, superior resistance to high temperatures, and enhanced corrosion resistance. This ensures not only optimal performance but also longevity in the operation of the cutting head.
